Book of Common Prayer

As Episcopalian Christians we believe in the sanctity of marriage and we rejoice in the privilege to celebrate the sacrament of Matrimony.

We require that any couple wishing to be married at Church of the Holy Spirit attend four to six sessions of premarital counseling with our Rector, The Rev. Susan Ackley, or with another Episcopal priest. If one or both parties have been divorced, permission to marry must be requested from the Bishop of New Hampshire.

The Marriage Service from the Episcopal Book of Common Prayer will form the basis of the ceremony. The service is adaptable and can be made more personal in consultation with Rev. Ackley.

For members of the congregation, the only charge is $100-$150 for the organist.

For those outside the congregation, $500 will be charged in addition to the organist’s fee.
